Northwest Elementary School

Northwest Upper Elementary School is a 3rd-5th grade building with over 800 students. Creating a safe and positive school culture is a priority in our district and we are very proud of the culture that we have created in our building. We seek to accomplish this through a framework called PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). Within this framework our focus is on being  Responsible, Respectful, Safe and Showing Effort. These four guiding qualities are foundations for all learners to engage both socially and academically.

The Direction of Greatness

NWEL is fortunate to offer a variety of academic activities and supports such as Music, Art, STEM, Physical Education, and Library Time to our students on a rotating basis.  In addition to regular classes, NWEL utilizes the STEM lab for a Robotics Team. NWEL students have competed in local Robotics competitions.  .
